What is a "Hypothetical" Level?
A hypothetical level is a characters level with stat bonuses figured into the overall value. Characters receive stat bonuses via enchantments, job class capabilities, racial abilities, and certain accessories. Almost all player characters of Solaris have enchantment bonuses as well as job class capabilities that increase their bonus values for specific character stats. This provides a character with an overall increase in allocated points, which in turn raises a characters overall level. For example, a level 72 character with a significant amount of stat bonus enchantments on his armor may find himself equal in overall power to a level 88, or higher. Enchantment bonuses can significantly alter a characters true level. While we don't officially support keeping track of every characters "hypothetical level" we do keep track of level 100 player characters. The following section explains how non-level 100 players can figure out their hypothetical level.
How do I find my Hypothetical Level?
Discovering a characters true level is easy, simply visit their "Vital Stat" page and it should appear next to their normal level.
Why is having a Hypothetical Level relevant?
The reason we use hypothetical levels for player characters is because we use them to show how powerful non-player characters are. Having a hypothetical level gives the player the ability to determine how he stacks up against a non-player character in battle.
What is the maximum Hypothetical Level achievable by player characters?
The highest hypothetical level a player character can reach after achieving level 100 is 500. The current enchantment bonus cap is 250%, and the maximum number of Runes of Power is 338 so the current maximum level achievable is 500.
What is the maximum Hypothetical Level achievable by non-player characters?
Non-player characters, such as storyline characters, do not have a specific level cap. It varies between each NPC on the character page, and depends solely on their purpose in the game. Lower level marketers have levels reasonable with their purpose. Some higher level storyline characters are capped alongside player characters at 380, and some boss-like characters are able to reach 500 or even higher.
